1.1 Story 1: The missing nut tarts of Nagershausen
In the small, tranquil town of Nagershausen, surrounded by lush green meadows and dense forests, lived a particularly clever mouse called Max. Max was no ordinary rodent. No, he was known as the best detective in the whole area. His sharp mind and detective instincts had solved many a mystery that had kept the inhabitants of Nagershausen busy.
One day, the peaceful atmosphere in Nagershausen was disturbed by an exciting piece of news. All the stocks of nut tarts had disappeared overnight from the bakery of Mr. Mayer, the friendly mole. The nut tarts were famous throughout the town and were particularly popular with the youngest residents.
Without hesitation, Detective Max made his way to the bakery to investigate the case. He carefully examined the crime scene, looked for clues and interviewed witnesses. It wasn't long before Max noticed small paw prints leading from the bakery towards the old oak forest.
With his magnifying glass in his paw, Max followed the tracks that led through the dense undergrowth and past babbling brooks. Finally, the tracks came to a halt at an old, hollow oak tree. Max pricked up his ears and heard soft, smacking noises coming from inside the tree.
With great caution, Max approached the oak and took a look inside. There he found a family of field mice, who were enjoying the stolen nut tarts. The little thieves were initially startled at the sight of him, but Max, who was not only an excellent detective but also a very wise animal, decided to give them a chance.
He explained to the field mice how important it is to be honest and to respect the work of others. The little mice, now aware of what they had done, promised never to steal again and offered to help Mr. Mayer make new nut tarts.
So Max returned to the town with the repentant field mice, where they told their story and asked for forgiveness. The inhabitants of Nagershausen, who were deeply impressed by the little detective's wisdom and kindness, decided to forgive the field mice.
From that day on, the field mice worked side by side with Mr. Mayer in the bakery and were rewarded for their hard work with the most delicious nut tarts. And detective Max? He was celebrated as a hero more than ever, not only because he had solved the mystery, but because he had shown that forgiveness and cooperation are the best ingredients for a happy life together.
And so ends the story of Detective Max, who was not only a great investigator, but also a true friend and teacher to all the inhabitants of Nagershausen.
