Pikler Triangle: The right assistance
From the experts at Studio Belize® - Design Studio for Children's Products:
What should parents keep in mind when accompanying their children at the Pikler Triangle?
According to Maria Montessori's and Emmi Pikler's approaches, children should be given the freedom to make their own experiences. This means that children do not need any guidance from parents to play with the pikler triangle. There is no right or wrong. Likewise, children should not be overly motivated to play with the pikler triangle. They can find their own pace. Then the full encouraging effect of the pikler triangle unfolds.
Children let their creativity play and set their own tasks, which they then complete with fun and motivation.
The second point that parents should consider is the issue of safety. It is the parents' task to create a safe environment in which the children can play with the pikler triangle. How to do this, you can read in another blog post.
